Cannabis Market: By 2021 The Marijuana Industry Will Rise to Billions Worldwide

Cannabis market to spread out across the world? Where else can the cannabis industry not go except hitting a market cap worth billions of dollars? The industry is very young that hasn’t hit it’s prime yet. However, it continues to scale up according to a study report showcasing a very promising future for the industry. The more and more people become aware of “marijuana” or more appropriately “cannabis”, the more individuals will see it’s a primary treatment for their illnesses. We’ll reveal study reports to give you a full understanding of how this is actually possible.

Cannabis Is Known to Treat Illnesses Worldwide

The cannabis plant was once assumed as a “drug” back in the 1930s until the 2000s. “Reefer Madness” was coined after Harry Anslinger manifested an era where “marijuana” or “Cannabis” was perceived to harm the human body from neurological brain damage to harming an individual’s life to the point of death.

Over the course of a decade or so, new research studies found cannabis as a sure health treatment for individuals with illnesses. Cannabis is now used to help patients with the following illnesses,

  • Cancer

  • Diabetes

  • HIV

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • PTSD

  • Chronic Pain Disorders

  • Epilepsy

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Alzeiheimers

  • Dementia

  • Etc…

Since new studies pushed the “marijuana” reefer madness into the “myth” category. The reefer madness people thought was real, actually was misleading information that didn’t have all the facts in place. Now more than millions of cannabis users are feeling less pain and feel more hope to ease their illnesses. It’s said that the cannabis market will approach billions of cash flow and for good reason.

A Record Breaking $31.4 Billion

The future holds many promising surprises in advanced technology and new discoveries of the cosmos. Cannabis has a place in the near future as well, but hopefully, legalization will happen around the year 2021 or sooner. Recently, there’s new data that supports cannabis has a potential to reach up to $31.4 billion according to an international cannabis data report by The Brightfield Group or the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

The report analyzes certain aspects of cannabis from current trends and how cannabis affects individuals worldwide. These trends are mass numbers of people from around the world using cannabis for recreational, medical, and some with limited cannabis access. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime examine these countries that show a popularity of cannabis to better understand whether cannabis is increasing over time. In America alone, cannabis use has increased to 37.6 million people or about 6.5 percent of the population. These are individuals ages 15-65 in America that’s taking an interest in cannabis.

In addition, cannabis use is increasing in other countries which shows us how much more cannabis will continue to become a popular treatment from recreational to medical. The countries with increasing cannabis use are Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Czechia, and Sweden. These countries were considered to understand the treatments of cannabis and how it affects patients with certain illnesses. Although the report shows us cannabis is increasing, how much of the actual cannabis plant is used as a viable medical treatment than synthetic cannabis or cannabinoids?

Is the Market Using Synthetic Cannabis Alternative to the Natural Cannabis Plant?

The report doesn’t state an actual number whether synthetic cannabinoids are being used more or less than the natural plant itself. However, it does state the number of synthetic cannabinoid use for medical treatment is increasing. It’s important to understand whether synthetically is better than the natural cannabis plant.

This is why the report also points out there are more individuals using synthetic cannabinoids whose suffered more problems using it than using the natural plant. The symptoms these individuals report having greater effects on their lungs, paranoia, hangover effects, and increased anxiety. These individuals also are said to prefer the natural cannabis plant than synthetic cannabinoids to help them ease their illnesses.

What does this tell us about the future of cannabis?

If the market sees no correlation between synthetic cannabinoids and the natural cannabis plant filled with natural cannabinoids then we could see a downtrend of cannabis use overall. These are only predictions, but it seems that synthetic cannabinoids are becoming more available to the market as the FDA approves these medications over the cannabis plant. However, time can only tell as we’ll see how far cannabis will go whether it reaches $31.5 billion or not around 2021.
